Had to whip out the ol' Scott Padgett photo for this Jazz-ercise.So I haven't really watched the Jazz play a game this season, per se, but I've noticed that they're still playing basketball, and I respect that.
But while I haven't seen them play, I've been paying attention to box scores from time to time because of fantasy implications. So here are my observations, fourfold:
When is Carlos Boozer getting traded? Deal him already. The Jazz are clearly not gonna make much noise, Boozer's gonna bolt and then what? Besides cap relief, not much. Yes, dealing him is a little trickier in the salary-for-salary NBA with the income-tax implications. But deal him for some young talent and an expiring contract. Poach some of the young players from the Heat, Bulls or Knicks. When does AK's abortion of a deal come off the books again?
Green jerseys: Love 'em.
More Sundiata: He should've retired after that Cavs game -- go out on top. Especially after jumping onto the scorer's table like he owned the place after a game-winning trey. Trade D-Will while you're at it and let's go with this guy.
Bring back Scott Padgett: It's a disturbing trend, as of late. With Matt Harping getting shipped, Sundiata Gaines getting another 10-day contract and Luke Nevill still being held back by The Man (and his talent level) in the D-League, there's only one true white guy with Kyle Korver (Euros don't count, and you know this. As Jeremy has pointed out, if you're from Europe, playing in the U.S. for millions of dollars is playing in the U.S. for millions of dollars -- what difference does it make if it's Memphis or Portland. Note: Ricky Rubio not included). On the year-in and year-out whitest team in the league, one just won't do. Maybe deal for Tyler Hansbrough?
